We Must Say "NO" to the Anti-Faith, Anti-Family Stimulus

President Obama and Congressional leaders are rushing a $1.2 Trillion spending package through Congress that is really an "Anti-Faith, Anti-Family Stimulus." Versions of this stimulus have included hundreds of millions of dollars for anti-life "family planning" programs. Plus, provisions specifically restrict or ban faith-based organizations from receiving funds, making this an anti-faith bill. This is discrimination of the worst kind!

In order for this anti-faith, anti-family stimulus bill to reach the president's desk, it must first undergo the process of melding the House version and the Senate version into a single bill. Special Conference Committee members from both the House of Representatives and the Senate will participate in the process of hammering out a single bill that is acceptable to both legislative bodies.

As a concerned citizen, I oppose any �stimulus� spending bill that funnels billions of dollars into government programs while discriminating against faith and family. As a result, I oppose the current Obama/Reid/Pelosi stimulus/spending bills. Both the House and Senate versions of the bill provide that stimulus funds may not be used to improve (higher education) facilities that are "used for sectarian instruction, religious worship, or a school or department of divinity...." Versions of the bill have also included hundreds of millions of dollars in so-called �family planning.� How outrageous that our government would pass off anti-faith and anti-childbirth programs as an economic stimulus! Any member of Congress who supports such outrageous provisions is out of touch with the real needs of our Nation. Please, do not bankrupt our nation. Do not burden future generations with more unbearable debt. Do not build anti-faith, anti-family provisions into a so-called �stimulus.� Vote NO on any bill that simply expands government power while discriminating against life and family.
