Life/Liberty/Family Petition to the New Congress:
 Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid:
Don’t Attack Life, Liberty And Family!

The Issue
The new Democratic-controlled Congress has already made its mark, advancing agenda items which restrict our free speech rights, attack life and undermine our families.

Liberty Counsel wants to deliver to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid 50,000 petitions opposing these attacks on our three pillars of Life, Liberty and Family.

The Petition States:

As a concerned citizen, I am deeply concerned by imminent threats to LIFE, LIBERTY, and FAMILY being proposed by the new Congress. Specifically:

Attacks on Life: Efforts by this Congress to advance funding for and legality of human cloning and embryonic stem cell research undermine the value of human life and threaten to further divide our nation. I oppose such efforts.

Restrictions on Liberty: I oppose the proposed restrictions on "grassroots lobbying" that have been proposed in this Congress. This is a direct affront to our First Amendment liberties of freedom of speech and the right to petition our government.

Attacks on Family: Efforts to promote "hate crimes" legislation will create a classification of "hate speech" and have the potential to criminalize speech supporting the traditional family. I oppose any hate-crimes legislation.

I call on this Congress to uphold Life, Liberty and Family instead of attacking these fundamental values.
