Statement of Support for Litigation to Stop ObamaCare
Join hundreds of thousands of concerned Americans
who are making a real difference by supporting Liberty Counsel’s federal lawsuit challenging the healthcare reform bill that was passed by the 111th Congress

The healthcare bill originally passed in the Senate just before Christmas 2009, and narrowly passed by the House of Representatives on Sunday, March 21, 2010, is unconstitutional because Congress lacks the authority to mandate insurance coverage for individuals or private businesses. Because this bill mandates such coverage, and any “reconciliation” issues that may eventually be incorporated in the core bill will not change its essential mandates, Liberty Counsel is filing suit against it.

Every Version of ObamaCare We’ve Seen is Unconstitutional
Congress does not have unlimited authority to regulate private actions. If the Constitution does not give Congress the power to act, then Congress cannot act. Congress clearly lacks the Constitutional authority to force individuals to have – or businesses to provide – health insurance. Congress’s attempt to force health insurance coverage on the nation is a stunning example of what Congress cannot do under the Constitution of the United States of America!

Sign Our "Statement of Support"
We need hundreds of thousands of concerned Americans to sign the Statement of Support presented below in order to get the best impact from bringing this litigation. The battle against this outrageous socialist power grab has been fought in the court of public opinion for nearly a year and Liberty Counsel is now taking it into an appropriate federal courtroom!

The Statement of Support States:

As a concerned citizen, I am signing this official statement to demonstrate my support of litigation challenging the Constitutionality of ObamaCare as passed by the 111th Congress. Specifically, I believe that government-mandated requirements for individuals to obtain health insurance are unconstitutional. Congress is not granted the power to force Americans to comply with such a mandate. Likewise, I believe requirements that employers provide such insurance coverage are also unconstitutional.

If Congress had the power to force Americans to have health insurance, then individual liberty would be overpowered and thus become meaningless. No matter what certain elected officials may desire, there are some things Congress simply cannot do under our Constitution. I do not want the federal government or any group of bureaucrats policing my private medical decisions. The legislation that passed Congress on March 21, 2010, popularly known as the ObamaCare healthcare reform bill, contains such a “mandate,” and is therefore a threat to individual liberty and the sovereignty of the States. I therefore support legal action to stop ObamaCare.
