 The Day of Purity is a
day when youth can make a public demonstration of their
commitment to remain sexually pure in mind and action,
and lay the foundation for an ongoing commitment to
“Live Pure.”
The Day of
Purity Pledge:
I hereby choose to save sex until I am in a committed
marriage relationship. Knowing this is the best choice
for my health, emotions, and spirituality, I voluntarily
choose to abstain from sexual activity until my wedding
night. Once I am married, I will remain true to my
spouse. Putting aside whatever past issues I may have, I
make this commitment today to purity and to setting high
standards for my life.
The Day of
Purity offers those who strive for sexual purity an
opportunity to stand together in opposition to a culture
in dramatic moral decline. When youth and the adults
they look to for guidance take a stand for sexual
purity, they send a message that they want a better
world – and a better future. Encourage your children,
grandchildren, and others you influence to be a part of
a “pro-moral counter-culture”!
