Transgender (LGBT) policy for what it is – a misguided
and unnecessary threat to our culture. We support the courage
and resolve of Natalie Johnson, the Macy’s employee who
denied a cross-dressing male access to female dressing rooms!

The Issue:
Macy’s has instituted an in-store policy of allowing “cross-dressing” people to use whichever gender changing rooms they choose. When Natalie Johnson, a Macy’s employee, refused to allow a man, who presented himself to be a woman, to use the women’s dressing rooms, she was reminded of Macy’s LGBT policy by her manager. When Natalie refused to change her stand due to her religious convictions, she was subsequently fired from her job.

Macy's policy, which allows men to use the women's dressing room and vice-versa, is fraught with problems. This policy will cause significant issues and will alienate the majority of Macy's customers. Macy's has essentially opened women's dressing rooms to every man!

Macy’s is one of many retail establishments now catering to pro-homosexual activists who are pushing forward with “social engineering” throughout our schools, workplaces, military, and government agencies. They are taking enormous strides in redefining marriage and family while initiating as many legal actions as quickly as possible – all with the support of a sympathetic Obama administration!

Liberty Counsel is fully engaged in countering this radical movement, but we believe grassroots Americans must also boldly take a stand with us against the pro-homosexual agenda in the public and private sectors.     

An Open Message to Macy’s Department Store Management 

As an American who recognizes the crucial importance of cultural boundaries and same gender guidelines to the welfare of any society, I am appalled by your corporate decision to allow LGBT people to use whatever changing facilities they choose in Macy’s stores. This policy is both misguided and absurd. It creates an unnecessary threat to the comfort and safety of your customers and helps undermine the stability of our society! I am deeply concerned that pro-homosexual activism has brought your organization to enact such a poorly thought-out policy.

I applaud Natalie Johnson’s resolve to stand up for what she knew to be right and deny a male access to women’s facilities!  Macy's policy, which allows men to use the women's dressing room and vice-versa, is fraught with problems. This policy will cause significant issues and will alienate the majority of Macy's customers. I call on Macy’s to do the right thing by reinstating Natalie Johnson and reversing this absurd policy.
