Help Affirm the First Amendment Rights of the Chick-fil-A
Corporation and its President, Dan Cathy!
This company is suffering wrongful discrimination and
persecution for its owners' biblical worldview!
Fueled by so-called "gay rights" advocates, students on over 30
college and university campuses are calling for boycotts of
Chick-fil-A restaurants and demanding the closure of their
on-campus facilities.
The assault on Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy and his
organization began after Cathy's "controversial" statement
supporting the biblical view of marriage as being between a man
and a woman: "We are very much supportive of the family – the
biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned
business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first
wives. We give God thanks for that."
The sentiment expressed by Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy has
led to him and his company being maliciously demonized. His
simple statement was not a prejudicial statement against
homosexuals and does not implicate the restaurant chain in any
wrongdoing - legally or morally. However, the calls for boycotts
and closures of Chick-fil-A franchises ARE an indictment of the
intolerance of radical homosexuals and their supporters who are
demonizing anyone or any organization supportive of marriage
being defined as being between "one man and one woman."
Liberty Counsel's petition
declares that..."we support Dan Cathy's First Amendment
rights - and we endorse his stand on biblically defined
marriage! We will defend Chick-fil-A's presence on any college
or university campus."
The LC petition will be delivered to the presidents of all 30
colleges or universities where the threat of Chick-fil-A
closures are currently being considered and/or implemented, and
such others as may later take this ill-considered course of
action. We will add deliveries as warranted by further
oppressive tactics on the part of government officials or
organizations against the Chick-fil-A enterprises.
